By late afternoon, the restaurants, terraces and designer shops of La Lonja merge with the history reflected in the facades of one of the most beautiful areas of the city.
In the morning, peace and silence take over the narrow streets of the neighborhood, at the time when they open the shops of reference design and fashion and contemporary art galleries. Bohemia is the stamp of those who drink their morning coffee accompanied by a book or newspaper on the terraces of the square. Opposite these stands the monumental star of the neighborhood, the La Lonja building, from the year 1426, which has served for centuries as a warehouse, prison and space for famous carnival costumes. Initially conceived as a meeting place for the merchants during the time of the height of trade in the Mediterranean, it was never a fish market in itself, although the sculpture of the angel, symbol of the merchants, captains the building. Today it houses temporary exhibitions of contemporary art.
Emblematic building with a lot of character before 1900 completely rehabilitated located a few meters from La Lonja and next to the cathedral, in addition to having the Club Nautico de Palma 2 minutes.
The building is perfectly restored maintaining the materials of the last century, such as carpentry and facade of the period very well restored.
We speak of an approximate surface of 540 m² in total that is distributed in 5 floors as follows: on the ground floor duplex housing with garage and separate entrance.
The stairs of the building lead us to another three houses (2 of them also duplex), a storage room for community use and the roof terrace with stunning views.
The building consists of four houses and has horizontal division although the whole is sold which allows to modify the distribution, with a large central patio of lights to which all the houses have access which allows to lift without touching a single m2.
There are three duplex and the one-story penthouse that gives access to the building's solarium with views of La Lonja and the Paseo Maritimo.
The first duplex has about 145 m2, on the ground floor we have a beautiful hall of the period, living room, bedroom with en suite bathroom and access from the outside of the bedroom as well, laundry room and garage of about 35m2. On the first floor modern kitchen, dining room with access to a small interior terrace, living room with a glassed-in gazebo typical of the very bright period with views of the fish market and a large double bedroom with dressing room and en suite bathroom. The combination of old materials and modern functionality has achieved a spectacular atmosphere.
The second duplex with very modern materials consists of two large bedrooms overlooking La Lonja, original bathroom, kitchen oficce and bright living room with staircase that gives access to the upper floor with double bedroom, dressing room and bathroom.
The third duplex with much charm, a little smaller comprises a floor of about 40 m2 with living room, bedroom and bathroom, on the first floor kitchen and dining room.
And finally the attic, we speak of a single floor of approx. m2 very cozy to have wooden beams overlooking attic style. It is distributed in two double bedrooms, living room with open kitchen, bathroom and access to the solarium of the building.
